Terms and Conditions

1. Purchase of your solar system.

1.1 You agree to purchase the solar system(s) which you have selected subject to the terms and conditions set out in this contract document.

1.2 Standard Solar agrees to sell you the solar system(s) which you have selected subject to the terms and conditions in this contract document.

2. Purchase Price.

2.1 The purchase price for a solar system is the purchase price shown for that system at standardsolar.com.au.

2.2 10% deposit as described at standardsolar.com.au is payable upon acceptance of the offer.

2.3 Payment of your balance will be deducted through your chosen payment method upon scheduling your installation day this will be approximately 7-10 days prior to installation.

3. Authority to Install.

3.1 You authorise (Standard Solar, its employees, agents or contractors) to install the solar system(s) which you have selected at the address set out in the contract of sale.

3.2 You shall not restrict access at the address set out in the contract of sale in relation to access for pre installation inspection, installation or post installation inspection of the solar system selected in the offer document.

3.3 You agree to execute any and all documents required by Standard Solar in respect to installation, inspection of your system, connection to the grid and rebate claims.

4. Ownership and Risk.

4.1 Ownership of the solar system(s) as set out in the contract of sale will pass to you upon payment in full of the purchase price set out in that document.

5. Rebates and Solar Credits.

5.1 Standard Solar does not imply your right to a rebate or the generation of REC’s as a form of solar discount, should the property set out in the contract of sale not be entitled to generate Renewable Energy Certificates the liability to cover this cost rests with the purchasing entity as set out in the contract of sale.

5.2 You understand that Standard Solar attaches a fixed price to REC’s to protect its clients from fluctuations in the market, there will be no reimbursement for values achievable above the figure set out in the contract of sale as there will be no cost implied to the purchasing entity as set out in the contract of sale under market conditions where the tradeable value of your rebate is lower than that depicted in the contract of sale.

6. Failure to Pay.

6.1 Should you fail to pay any amount owing to Standard Solar as set out in the contract of sale Standard Solar reserves the right to charge interest (both before and after judgement) on all unpaid amounts at the rate currently applicable to judgement debts in the supreme court. Along with the unpaid amount and incurred interest you accept liability to cover all cost incurred to recover such a debt including but without limitation legal costs.

7. Termination.

7.1 Standard Solar may terminate this contract should you fail to comply with the terms and conditions

7.2 If you elect not to purchase the solar system(s) as set out in the contract of sale you must do so in writing to the address shown on the contract document.

7.3 A fee of 15% of the contract price applies should you choose to cancel your order to cover reasonable costs incurred by Standard Solar Pty Ltd.

7.4 You may not terminate the contract document, revoke any authority granted under it or elect not to purchase a solar system otherwise in accordance with this clause.

8. Warranties

8.1 Standard Solar warrants that at the time of your installation both the installer and equipment used will as a minimum meet all required state and national standards and levels of qualification and competence.

8.2 Solar panels will carry a 25 year performance warranty, solar inverter will carry a minimum 10 year warranty, all installations will carry a 10 year workmanship warranty

9. Installation and Connection.

9.1 Standard Solar will install the solar system(s) you have selected in the contract of sale within 14 weeks of your deposit payment or authority to connect to the grid from your local power distributor (this time frame starts after the latter of the aforementioned conditions.)

9.2 Should Standard Solar fail to adhere to this timeframe you will be entitled to a reduction in price of $500.
